Watermelon are part of the Cucurbits family, endemic to the African tropical area. This plant is cultivated all year round and is composed of an herbaceous stem, big leaves and a huge fruit. However, its fruit is only available during the summer. In fact, to sprout, the watermelon seed needs high temperatures around 24°, (which is the reason why it can only be found in the summer), while to grow perfectly the plant needs an external temperature of roughly 30°.
